nothing new

invisible
a one way exertion
looking microscopically
blurring the bigger picture

be distracted
time moves on
what happens today, be gone tomorrow
let bygones be bygones
let the heart be unhurt
let me be forgotten
theres not much left regardless

the storm before the calm

in between the Niagara Falls
is the reflection of a rainbow
in between my heavy tears
comes the better days of tomorrow
in between my unkind thoughts
the result of the insomniac brain
in between all this misery
woe to me, drowning in pain
in the midst of writing
so that i may be sane again

the fear

stuck in this moment
stuck in my writings
a trait of stagnancy
or a state of loyalty
time still moving
wrinkly, accordingly

she is me and i am her
grown mature but unlocking a new fear
used and battered
